Giant's Foot Surf Camp to host Volcan Maderas Aid Station

Giant's Foot Surf Camp has volunteered to host the Volcan Maderas Aid Station for Fuego y Agua 2012!What does this mean? Maderas is the most extreme of all of the Aid Stations. The station is located inside of the crater next to the lagoon and is accessible only by foot. Volunteers will begin the climb to set the station up at 4 a.m. each carrying approximately 100 lbs of food and supplies! The trail is extremely difficult and by far the most challenging section of the race course.

Giant's Foot Surf Camp is located on the mainland in Gigante, Nicaragua. On the Pacific coast and about a 1 hour drive from the ferry arriving from the island. If you want to surf the perfect Nica waves, contact Giant's Foot Surf! They have amazing accommodations, surf lessons and board rentals!

Be sure to thank them as you pass by the Aid Station on your race this February! See you in Nicaragua!
